SoCal-Training “Impact of Deployment on the Family” with Carol Tanenbaum, Ph.D., M.F.T.

This workshop is designed to help participants:

  • Recognize recent research results on the psychological adjustment of military families in terms of deployment and return.
  • Recognize emotional cycles of deployment and homecoming for military families.
  • Recognize individual differences based on age and developmental stages of children at home, whose parent(s) are deployed and return home after deployment.
  • Discuss clinical case material presented by Carol Tanenbaum.

Carol Tanenbaum, Ph.D., M.F.T, is chair of the Ernest S. Lawrence Trauma Center of The Los Angeles Institute and Society for Psychoanalytic Studies. She served on the board of Global Children’s Organization from 1996-2009. Carol is adjunct faculty member at Pacifica Institute in Carpenteria, CA. Carol is a psychoanalyst and marriage family therapist with a private practice in Sherman Oaks, CA.
