Chapter Director, Washington
Brenda Walls was a military Air Force Brat, had served active duty in the Coast Guard for 8 years and then married her husband who served in the Coast Guard for 27 years. Brenda’s uncle was severely injured in WWII and awarded a purple heart, her husband’s father died in a helicopter crash in the Vietnam War. The military life and culture have been all she has ever known. She has seen the best of what the military has to offer and the worst. It is in her DNA to serve and the population she cares about so much is that of the brave men and women who are in the United States Military. She believes in the mission of The Soldiers Project and that is why she wanted to work with them and for them. She is very proud of the work that The Soldiers Project does. Brenda is very proud of her recent award for community partnership with Hope Sparks and facilitating and organizing the 2017 Washington State Symposium for The Soldiers Project’s wonder therapist and applicants.
